Kelly-Ann Desrosiers

Kelly-Ann Desrosiers is a multidisciplinary artist originally from the north who now lives in the south. She enjoys exploring different artistic mediums, whether it be painting, jewelry or sculpture.

Kelly-Ann has always been a creative person, but she began to explore and experiment with different mediums during her art classes in school. She is self-taught when it comes to trying a new medium and wishes to learn new techniques such as carving on soapstone, ivory, and antler. Her classes and trips to museums have allowed her to learn more about art and she has been touched by Inuit art. Kelly-Ann is inspired by her culture and says that this inspiration comes naturally to her when she makes her creations. Art is a form of therapy for her, but also a form of family support, as she enjoys creating with her children and is inspired by the artists in her family, whether it be her biological or adoptive family.
